About the service and methodology
Updated 25.10.2026.
skidki.md is a catalog of prices and discounts from store chains in Moldova. We collect prices from 24 chains, show where a product is cheaper and check every discount against price history: whether the “old price” was real.
The catalog, search and product pages are free; shopping lists, chain comparison and the family menu are part of the skidki+ subscription.
Which chains we compare
The catalog currently has 302 540 products with a current price in 24 chains. Each chain has its own page with discounts and prices:

Home and beauty — Casa Curata (489), Mega Alina (1 232), Alir (91).
Alcohol and drinks — Alcomarket (796), WineTime (935), Drinkstock (191).

Chains with stores or delivery in your city are marked on the Store chains page.
Where the data comes from and how often we update it
We take prices from open sources: chain websites and their advertising flyers. Grocery chains are collected automatically every 6 hours, electronics stores once a day.
A product is considered current if its price was confirmed no more than 7 days ago and the promotion has not expired; the rest drop out of the catalog and the counts, but their pages remain with the note “price as of the last check”.
For METRO and Bonus we use prices from the Zakaz delivery service — on the in-store shelf they may differ, especially for promotions.
How we check a discount
Each time we collect prices, we record when the price changed and how many days it held. From this history we calculate for each product:
- Usual price — the median price over the 90 days before the current price (for days when the product was in stock); calculated when there are at least 14 days of history.
- Real discount — the current price is at least 10% below the usual price.
- Lowest price — the current price is lower than any we have seen during tracking (at least 14 days).
- Inflated discount — the store shows an “old price”, but the current price is not below the usual price (with a 3% tolerance), or the “old price” is more than 5% above anything we have seen over 30 or more days of tracking.
If there are fewer than 14 days of history, there is no verdict — we say the discount cannot be checked yet. See the summary of checks across the whole catalog on the Discount check page.
What “price as of the check date” means
Every price in the catalog is what we saw on the chain’s website or flyer at the time of the last check; the check date is shown on the product page and on chain and category pages. The in-store price may have changed between checks.
Limitations
- The price on the shelf and at the checkout may differ from the price on the website or in the flyer: promotions end, products sell out, flyers contain typos.
- Some promotional prices apply only with the chain’s loyalty card (for example, the Kaufland card) — such products are marked.
- We do not sell products and are not responsible for the actions of stores; the final price is the one at the checkout.
Languages
The service works in Russian and Romanian; we show product names as the chain writes them.
