skidki.md is a service for comparing prices across store chains in Moldova, with shopping lists and family meal plans. This policy describes what data we collect, why we collect it and how you can manage it.
What data we store
- Account: email address, name, encrypted password (we store only an irreversible hash).
- Login via Google, Facebook or Telegram: your account identifier with the provider, your name and email if the provider shares it. We do not receive your passwords for these services.
- Your settings and content: favorite products, baskets and shopping lists, dietary preferences, family members with their age, weight, height, activity level and goal (used to calculate nutritional norms), what you have at home, the meal plans you create and your dish ratings.
- Payment waiting list: email or phone number and the plan you selected, if you left them on the skidki+ page. We use them only to tell you when online payment opens, or to arrange payment for the subscription; no mailings. To remove your contact from the list, write to support.
- Technical data: a session file (cookie) so that you stay logged in to your account, and a log of actions in the service (for example, “meal plan created”) to improve quality. There are no advertising or third-party trackers on the site. Visit statistics are covered below.
Why
- so that you can log in to your account and use your saved lists, meal plans and settings;
- to calculate nutritional norms, put together meal plans and show where groceries are cheaper;
- to improve meal plan selection and the quality of the service using anonymized statistics.
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Visit statistics
We count visits ourselves, on our own server, to understand which sections are useful and where visitors come from. There are no advertising pixels or third-party analytics services. We do not store the IP address: we use it only to determine the country and city (a database on our server, no external services; data from IP Geolocation by DB-IP, CC BY 4.0), and the address itself does not enter the statistics.
- What we record: pages and products opened, searches, additions to a list and to favorites, clicks on “Open in store”, the referral source (search engine, social network, campaign tag — without the full address of the source page), device type, browser and system, screen size, country and city by IP address (accurate to the city), the selected city and language.
- Without your consent: anonymous counting only — nothing is stored on the device, a visit is counted by a key that lives for one day and is not linked to other days; the numbers of your lists, menus and payments do not enter the statistics. The key is computed in memory from a shortened IP address (without the last block), the browser and the language, and is not stored.
- With your consent: the analytics cookie skm_vid with a random number (13 months) — this is how we see returns; if you are logged in, visits are linked to your account.
- Retention: detailed records — 13 months, after which only anonymized daily totals remain. Your choice is stored in the necessary skm_consent cookie for 12 months.
- Management: you can allow or withdraw consent, turn counting off completely and delete your analytics data on the “Visit statistics” page.
Processing with AI models
For the “smart selection” of meal plans and for recognizing stores’ promotional leaflets, we use AI models (Google Gemini, Groq, OpenAI). Only anonymized parameters are sent in a request to a model: for example, “Adult 1, 35 years old, 2400 kcal”, diet types and a list of recipes. Names, email addresses and any other data that could identify you are not sent to the models.
Where and for how long data is stored
Data is stored on the service’s server in the European Union. We keep it for as long as your account exists. Database backups are deleted automatically once the backup retention period expires.
Your rights
- change your name, email and password in profile;
- unlink social network login in your profile;
- delete family members, lists, meal plans and products from the “Pantry” section in the corresponding sections;
- request a copy of your data or full deletion of your account through the service's support. We will reply within 30 days.
Children
The service is intended for adults. Children’s data (age, nutritional norms) is entered by a parent to plan the family’s meals.
Changes
If we change this policy, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
